The deep-voiced soul singer who died Sunday after being found unconscious in his residence in Memphis. An autopsy was performed, but files paperwork Hayes family physician, Dr. David Kraus, lists the causes of death as stroke, Sheriff’s Steve Shular said the spokesman Tuesday.
Deputies had been among the teams an urgent response to a 911 call, and the Department of Sheriff’s detectives sought in death. Kraus investigators said that since the treatment of Hayes, 65, hypertension, Shular said.
