I think you’re taking it too seriously. A committee in Hollywood determines who gets a star. It is not fair, or objective, or up for a vote. It is done for tourist dollars, like any “hall of fame” type thing. And I don’t think they are for sale – Donald Trump did not buy his. Disagreeing with who gets a star is like disagreeing with who gets an Oscar or an Emmy. All of these type of awards are subjective decisions made by other people, not you. You will disagree often, but it really doesn’t matter that much.
Anyone can get one. You got the money? You get a star!
