You will get the most bang for your buck in NYC. You could eat and party cheaply, you could see and do alot for free. Depending on your budget, you could end upui being very limited in Hollywood.

New York. There are lots of things to do and see and it is more compact than LA. You can get everywhere on foot or on public transportation.
