Absolutely. As long as they can speak clearly in English, it is definitely possible. Hollywood is becoming more diverse and open to different cultures/ethnicities. Especially after the success of Slumdog Millionaire, it is definitely possible for an Indian person to become a Hollywood actor.

My wife wants to audition for the new Star Wars tv series that starts later in 2008. Lucas is going to be casting alot of people to play many different characters from stories not told in the movies…mainly many of the stories that happened in between all the action everyone has seen in Episodes 1 – 6. She would giving anything for some advice as to how to accomplish this. She is not currently an “actor”, but has much experience in theatre from earlier in her youth. How can I find or contact someone to give her a chance to audition for this? It makes it especially difficult when we live in Michigan, and we know much of the casting for just about anything takes place in CA. But she would be more than willing to travel to an audition just for the chance. She’s extremely intelligent, just finising up her PhD in behavior psychology, with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Any advice in how to contact someone who can help, either an agency or whatever, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
