When FDR was president he sent a fact finding mission to Russia to explore all the wonderful things he was hearing about communism. Stalin built “Potemkin Village” and stocked it with smiling poeple and autos and food and businesses. The fact finding mission returned wit glowing reports of how well communism worked and FDR fell for it. There began the spread of socialism with the birth of FDR’s “NEW DEAL”.
I don’t know but the rest of the entire world can and does visit Cuba. The embargo clearly hasn’t worked and those of us who study Latin American and Caribbean history, hell, new world history have been done no favors by the embargo.
It would be nice to visit one of the places where Columbus landed first in the New World.
