Associating with these people (and of course, being against everything the U.S. does) keeps their names in the newpapers. It’s called PR.
Because they see all the good things those leaders have done for the poor in their country, and ignore all the bad things they’ve done with respect to the press and businesses.
Because they believe the ol’ sayin:
“An enemy of my enemy is my friend.”
They all hate America.
Kinda like the ultimate Hollywood conservative,Ronnie Ray Gun, had such affection for murderous right wing dictators like Somoza and his thugs who became the Contras,who murdered,raped and robbed thousands of Nicaraguans?
Or how Fred Thompson supports right wing dictators in Central Asia?

They have more money than they know what to do with and so they go check these people out for themselves. I haven’t heard them speak about these trips so I don’t know what conclusion they came to other than receiving health care from Castro’s government for the 911 victims.
