Seems like they are pushing for a candidate that is a break from the norm… not sure that it matters what his race is. Perhaps that is your own biased outlook.
Some people will vote for him just to make history, some because they like him, and some because they believe he is the lesser of two evils, and finally some because they just cant stand republicans.
What investment? If they’re pushing it for any reason, it’s for ratings. It would be bigger news or a more unique story if Obama was elected over McCain
