MGM has the best thrill rides, but the Magic Kingdom is the best theme park in the world. Just walking down Main Street and seeing the castle…

Honestly I absolutely loved them both. Disney is such a great time at any age and my family and I loved all of the parks there. I would go back in a heartbeat if I could afford it.

I love thrill rides and so im not into to all that baby crap. Disney has so few rides, If I had to pick, I would go w/ hollywood studios

If you only have time for one of the parks then Magic Kingdom. But since they are so different I can’t pick a favorite.

If you’ve never been to either, then MK–it’s the essential Disney, and has fun for all ages.
If you are going with pre-teens, same answer.
If you are going wiht teenagers, they will have fun in either park, but may find Studios more comfortable.

I love the Magic Kingdom over Hollywood Studios because the Magic Kingdom is pure Disney, it is what Disney is all about. You can ride classic Disney movies in FantasyLand, go into the future in Tomorrowland, act like a Frontiersman in Frontierland, be adventurous in Adventureland, and be wild and crazy in Mickey’s Toon Town Fair. When you think of Walt Disney you think of the Magic Kingdom and his dreams. Just walking down Main Street U.S.A. there is a certain smell and feeling you get, especially when you walk around the corner and see Cinderella’s Castle. There is nothing like it.
As for Hollywood Studios, it is more for those who love to watch broadway type shows. There are more thrill rides in Hollywood Studios than the Magic Kingdom, but the feel is not the same…in my own opinoin.

if you only have one day at disney, please dont spend it at hollywood studios. The other three parks have so much more to offer than this one. Magic kingdom is where the spirit lies and even if you are 80, you will enjoy these rides, and feel like a kid again. The parades, the fireworks, the shops, the characters, the castle, and every moment you are in this park you will feel walt come to life in his work.

I’ve personally only been to Magic Kingdom for the first time this past October. I loved it, it was just that, magical. I took my kids who are 11 and 7. They were miserable. They were only happy when we were shopping. Next time, Mommy will be going away on a business trip…lol. To be honest with you, all I saw there was miserable kids! Have fun, which ever you decide. I do know Disney is offering a great package with the food plan. That was a great thing to have. We never once paid for a single meal. Not even the character meals.!
